The Department of Facilities & Operations oversees all aspects of campus buildings and grounds—from daily cleaning and routine repairs to construction management, capital improvements, and long-term campus master planning. Our dedicated team works to ensure that Westfield State remains a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

In addition to maintaining campus facilities, the Department provides tools and resources to help you report issues, request support, and stay updated on ongoing maintenance and improvement projects. Services & Support for Campus

Trades & Grounds

Trades & Grounds encompasses the areas of Carpentry, Electrical, Grounds, HVAC, Lock Shop, Mechanics, Painting, Plumbing, and Power Plant. Our skilled staff work to maintain and improve our campus facilities and provide around-the-clock response for emergencies.

Environmental Services

Environmental Services is responsible for maintaining all campus spaces including academic, residential, administrative and recreational facilities. Maintainer staff work shifts around the clock to ensure that buildings are clean, safe and welcoming for students, faculty, staff and visitors.
