March 26, 2026: "Stories that Stick" - Elements of Persuasive Personal Narrative

Hosted by WSU's Story Coach, Dr. Catherine Savini! Stories are like Velcro; they stick. A well-crafted story can be more memorable and more persuasive than statistics. This workshop will focus on the elements of an effective story. Participants will dissect compelling stories to identify what makes them work and then craft their own stories. While telling compelling stories can land a job--think networking and interviews--the benefits of writing and reflecting on our stories go far beyond persuasion. Storytellings enables us to process our experiences, identify and convey our values and priorities, build meaningful connections, and grow.

Refreshments provided!
