Projects

"Crossroad of Democracy" -- This project was designed in collaboration with the RIDE Center’s Tool Tuesday workshop to create banners using Cricut smart cutting machines, textile design equipment, and other multimedia tools.

  • This project intended to encourage students to engage on issues of interest in the 2024 Presidential elections, modeling pedagogies of multimodalities and multiliteracies.
  • The project was introduced at a campus Constitution Day Event focused on youth voters, and then displayed at the RIDE Center; where Dr. Hafner brought his other classes for course-connected exercises related to multilingual literacy development.
  • Students were training on sewing machines, textile design tools, Cricut Smart cutting machines, and other precise needleworking tools.
